Invitation to Participate: Bahtera Conference | 19-20 August 2015 | KL Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur
The Youth Trust Foundation invites participation to their myHarapan's venture capital unit, Social Enterprise Ventures, which will be presenting at BAHTERA - a FREE 2-day conference for 'bumipreneurs'. The BAHTERA initiative is about addressing the information gap and bringing bumipreneurs to transform their ventures using business intelligence, marketing, or service delivery harnessing the use of technology and new business models.
They will be talking about "Innovation with Conscience" - challenging conventional notions of innovation and establishing its key role in promoting inclusion, access for the underprivileged and sustainability. The session will take a hands-on approach, featuring a panel discussion and case studies, that'll hopefully inspire more to jump on Malaysia's budding social entrepreneurship bandwagon. A mini-competition will be played out during the Youth Trust Foundation's session, the winner of which will be assisted in designing and developing a prototype product and thereafter marketing it through a crowdfunding campaign.
